Disabled American Veterans

This worthwhile charity is very necessary, and it is sad to say this. While we give billions overseas to 2nd and 3rd world nations to feed and support the next generation of ungrateful terrorists, our veterans are left out in the cold by most members of our government, the majority of whom have never served in uniform. We want to see that changed.

Otto Kumm was the last living Brigadefuehrer and Generalmajor of the Waffen SS, and the last living Waffen SS recipient of the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. Despite his affiliation with the SS and his Nazi Party membership, Otto was actually quite a humane officer, and was cleared of any wrong doing after the war. In fact, he was even praised by former enemies for his caring for the enemy wounded. He was unique, and Clin was pleased that wrote a foreword to his book Occupation and Insurgency.

Reunion After 50 Years
vfwnc.org/department-news/tuskegee-airman-found/
This is a great piece, a little dated, that highlights the irony of war and life. Worth watching as these two pilots, one a B-17 pilot, the other a P-51 Mustang pilot from the Red Tails meet. They had ironically converged on two documented missions in WW II, but even more amazing, they were in second grade together.
